CENTENNIAL PARADE PACKETS

Due to the storm that moved through Washington, D.C., just after the parade ended, distribution of Centennial Parade Packets at Scouting on the Mall (in front of the Washington Monument) was suspended to ensure everyone’s safety.  Our volunteers did a fantastic job of saving the packets from the rain, but it will take us a little time to assess for damage and re-organize distribution. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR STOP BY THE NATIONAL CAPITAL AREA COUNCIL OFFICE TO INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR PACKET.  If you paid to participate in the parade – or answered National Capital Area Council’s last minute plea for balloon handlers in the week prior to the parade – please go to www.boyscouts-ncac.org/paradepackets to complete a simple form that will help us match participants with parade packets.

If you lost your packet or your packet was damaged, please send an email to supportscouting@scouting.org.

EAGLE SCOUT PHOTO

The official Eagle Scout photo was cancelled due to the storm.  However, several people took pictures of groups that were gathered at the BSA Memorial (15th Street NW & Constitution Avenue, Washington, D.C.) before/after the storm and have been sending them in to Parade HQ.  If you would like an email sent to you to let you know that the photos are available, please go to www.boyscouts-ncac.org/eaglephoto to provide your contact information.
